Not my best shots, but Cindy and Kobe still
look cute.
Cindy is a lab/chow mix (about 2 yrs. here).
Kobe is an American Eskimo Spitz (about 4 yrs. here)
I regret not having made time to take more
photos of these two fun, lovable dogs.

That’s my Boy
Both dogs
are Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers (Tollers in
short), a breed which comes from Canada and which is
still rate here in the UK. Tarak, an 8 year old male, is
very patient with the new boy on the block, “Zaki” who
is 10 weeks old in the photo. Tarak has to put up with
a lot, being bitten by very sharp teeth, being jumped on
and being pulled by his ears. He puts up with everything
Zaki does to him. The only time he show he is the boss
is when there is a bone involved, then
Zaki must learn his place in the pack. |

Let
Me Out!
Zaki (Toller
puppy) has just arrived at his new home, only 8 weeks.
You put him in the basket for a cute picture, but the
only thing he wanted to do was to get out of the basket
and play in the garden with his big brother Tarak. |

Mummy’s little helper.
Zaki at 10
weeks old, he was always very interested in the
dishwasher. His speciality was to lick as much as he can
before the dishwasher is on and try to help when the
clean dishes were put away.

Piggy in the middle
Tarak the
8 year old Toller is the odd one out amongst the two
Border Collies. At the time the picture was taken Morgan
(Black and White girl) was 12 years old and Badger
(Brown and White boy) was 13 year old. Unfortunately
both of them died within a few months of each other in
2009. Tarak was very close to Morgan (B&W girl) and
missed
her enormously. He has never the same after her death,
but when we got the new puppy Zaki, another Toller, his
mind was on other things – survival! |

Smile,
you’re on camera
Badger
(Brown and White Border Collie) was about 10 years old
when the picture was taken. At times he had a grin on
his face and I think he was way to smile at us. Normally
when dogs show their teeth is as warning sign but this
was definitely not the case when Badger smiled. |
